Much can be learned from the Washington Post/ABC News polling graph above. Let’s begin. The two-line graph includes four points with each representing the affirmative answer to the question ‘do you think O.J. Simpson was guilty or not guilty’. One line represents the affirmative response from Whites, the other from Blacks.

Before we address each point, we must first consider the question itself. The question seems to confine responses to the boundaries of the courtroom. However, lacking telepathy we cannot presume the respondent thinks the same.
